About Payback
Payback is a service for people who shop online. When brands deceive you, we put money back into your pockets and hold them accountable.
What Payback does
You connect the email address your order receipts arrive at, and Payback reads those receipts to know what you bought and what you paid. We record what stores charge every day, so a fake sale has nowhere to hide.
Payback catches online stores running a sale that never ends. When a customer is deceived, we ask the store for a refund, and you keep what you ordered, no returns required.
Joining is free, and we cover the cost of your first refund. After that you keep 80% of any money we recover for you. If we recover nothing, you pay nothing.
No refund? You may have another option. If your refund remains unresolved, you can choose to contact participating law firms interested in matters like yours, where available. If a firm accepts your case, you pay no attorney fees or case expenses upfront. Attorney fees depend on a recovery, and case expenses are reimbursed only if money is recovered. Your lawyer will explain the terms before you decide to proceed. Law firms pay Payback for advertising and consumer inquiries. Some pay more for sponsored placement. You never pay Payback for the connection. Contacting a firm does not guarantee representation.
For consumer lawyers
Payback also runs a directory where consumer lawyers advertise. If the store refuses to refund, the consumer decides which firms to contact, and the inquiry carries the price history and the communication with the store.
